“Let Justice be done, though the heavens fall” -Aldnoah.Zero
Alright, let me just start off with this the sound track is a1.
In 1972 humanity discovers an ancient alien hyper-gate on the surface of the moon. The mysterious gate was fueled by a strange power known as aldnoah. Using this technology, humanity soon began migrating to Mars and settling there. Adopting the name “martian”. While the remaining humans on Earth were referred to as Terran. After settlers discovered additional advanced technology, they broke away from Earth and the Vers Empire was founded, which claimed Mars and its secrets for themselves. Claiming to have become superior to the humans on earth, referring to them as low life’s occasionally. Later, the Vers Empire declared war on Earth, and in 1999, a battle on the Moon’s surface caused the hyper-gate to explode, shattering the Moon and scattering remnants into a debris belt around the planet. Cut off from Mars, the remnants of the Vers Imperial Army established several massive orbital space stations within the debris belt and a ceasefire was established.
15 years later, in 2014, the Vers princess, Asseylum, was sent to Earth on a peace mission in an attempt to make a treaty with both planets. The attempt fails when she is attacked, in an attempted murder. Believed to be deceased, the Empire and its 37 clans of Orbital Knights launch a new attack on Earth, this time determined to conquer it once and for all.
And now for my opinion, what you’ve all been waiting for.. lol jk. I know most everyone who reads this is just waiting for the words it’s a waste of time, or it’s worth watching. Well, this one can go either way.
The first episode definitely grabs your attention and pulls you in, leaving you with no choice but to watch episode two.
The series is undoubtedly good… until episode 13 that is.
Episodes 1-12 are well carried out, plenty of action, amazing soundtracks that make the explosion and fighting scenes all the better.
But mostly the fire and explosions, I loved that. Unfortunately, after that I don’t know what happened. The second half just didn’t play out as good as the first part, it wasn’t bad don’t get me wrong, but it just wasn’t as good as the first part. It didn’t live up too the hype and expectations the first part gives you. It’s like when you have to sneeze really badly and your just about to sneeze and then bam. Your sneeze disappears and your left wondering where did it go? \0.0/ wha…? The ending was overall solid though.
It made a comeback though at the very last 2-3 episodes and your like alright okay I’m content. It was good, but I’m going to have to knock it down some points for that funky part in the middle. It wasn’t as bad enough to drop it but it was enough to make me stop binge watching it like I did the first part.
Over all, I say 7/10. They deserve it, the plot was good, wonderful music, amazing animation, and they even did a good job of dubbing it.
MINOR SPOILER ALERT!! Mini RANT!
If you happen to end up watching it through to the end which is not hard to imagine. My only other complaint with the series is the ending pairing. NOT THE OVERALL ENDING. Just my ship. But this is a matter of who you shipped throughout the series from the start. I personally think they did my man Inaho wrong. He worked hard for that princess pu**y. OKay IM KIDDING. But seriously they were shown getting closer and closer, building up a romantic-like relationship. They even kissed.. kind of. It was CPR but you know how anime CPR is *rolls eyes*. So yeah it’s like the writers were like nah Inaho ain’t good enough for Asseylum, and pulled some bullshit “prince” character out of their ass and were like there. here. marry him. They shoved it down our throats and we were just forced to take it. He has like less than 5 minutes of screen time total, he was never mentioned before ever, except when he shows up out of the blue for convenience and Asseylum is like oh yeah he’s my childhood friend. -_- like no. Like rude bitch, Inaho started the series out with 2 eyes and now he has 1. BeCUZ of yoU. And you leave my man hanging. They don’t even throw in a pretty girl for him they just end it like that, she marries the random dude and he looks up at the sky and the end. I was like oKAY.
Excuse my UN-professionalism I had to let that out I was high-key salty. But I apologize for all the excessive use of salt in that last bit.
